hey guys whats goin on, its been a while since ive been on, nova has been kickin my ass. basically heres the issue i have right now. because im using a short water pump, and the blower has no provisions for the alternator bracket on the passenger side, i moved it to the right using the big swing arm bracket. now for the fun part..... power steering. it normally had the cradle mount that hooked ot the water pump, well that is now gone because of the short pump. i have no idea how i am going to hook up this thing, what the hell do i do |

I'm sure there were short pump cars that had power steering. You need to find a junkyard that specializes in older stuff and wander. I'm not familar with how the short pump stuff mounts. The other alternative is to get some cardboard and start mocking up brackets to relocate the pump to another location where you can mount it. Might not be and option depending on what you have to work with, but still a possibility. Clay _________________ I have done so much with so little for so long, I can now do anything with nothing. |

| You need to run the water pump separate from the blower drive anyway. You can use any early power steering pump brackets to run the P/S pump also. |

| 67-68 camaros used short W pumps and the steering pump bracket bolts to the Two holes in the front of the block at the bottom left (driver side) the tensioner is actually behind the pump and bolts under Two of the driver side motor mount bolts. You also need the earlier pump. The alt mounted above it on the same side. I had a 671 in a 67 camaro years ago so I am pretty sure you can get it to work without to much customizing. Can you post pics? |

If you can't find what you want in a junkyard I'm sure the brackets are available through Year One or Classic Industries. Unfortunately around here most yards only keep the newer stuff and crush everything else.
