I just rebuilt my engine I went with a 383 stroker, the forge bottom end, AFR heads 210, and the custom grind Cam, with a good set of roller rockers, Elder brock intake. Why is it that my horse power feels the same as if i never chabged anything. Is it that I need to tune it and get my bigger injectors in????? Any suggestions and/or feedback......

I think 96caprice will tell you those heads are not as good as the LT1's. Ported correctly that is!

Yes

You will probably need larger injectors (depends how close you are to 100% duty cycle now), and a tune is definitely required to get the fuel air optimized for your increased cfm (displacement).

Yes you need a tune and injectors.

Far as the rest I will just refrain from commenting, because you wont like my comments anyway.

Short polite answer is the heads and intake were not good choices. If we were bench racing you would have a good setup but if we met at the track you would leave making excuses.

96Caprice-You said it best-that's exactly what I built it for bench racing-No track races here.so you answered it for me
"I WILL KICK A**" benching and that's exactly what we want!!!!!!!!!!!! I very rarely take it to the track., but now we can rebuilt her for the track

96 caprice let me ask you this....With a 548 CAM what type of heads would you have picked? with the heads I did pick (AFR 210's alum.) do I need to port the LT4 intake more, and the heads?
