If your looking for a good a warm weather driving and/or race carb I'd recomend the Profrom Race Series carbs. They are only 499.00 from jegs and summit, and they are the same thing as the Holley HP series. I just got one myself and I can't wait for the minnesota winter to be gone so I can get her out on the road!

I've got a 700dp that I've had for a while. Carb works good. I milled the top off and installed the 50cc pump in the rear with a brown cam. The front has the 30cc pump with the pink cam. I don't remember what jets I put in it last. I just took it off my road dog's race truck that ran pretty good. I can let you have it for 100.00 plus shipping. I don't think you are going to find one like it for that price.
I'd like to have a 750 Edel with manual choke (model 1407) for the street. My carb isn't junk so I don't want a junky carb. If you have one to trade, I'll be glad to work something out. |

I did notice on the Proform main body that the boosters were the old press in style not screw in. That would keep me away. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

The old press in boosters will run almost forever if swedged in properly. I like the idea of screw in boosters but why would you ever have to replace them?
I have run at least 20 Pro-Form carbs accross the chassis dyno and them made excellent power in most cases more than their Holley counterparts because of the billet metering plates.

Only reason I said that was cause I have an old holley 750 DP that has loose boosters.....
Then again the guy that owned it was kind of a hack. Maybe too many screw drivers down the carb to hold the choke open or something. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec
