1993 LT1 I want to switch to carb

i found a 94 buick roadmaster in a bush 120000km it runs great.
I also have an 81 impala i have a newer 305 with a 4 speed auto with 3:55 gears it works good but the 305 runs outa steam in a hurry with that gear so i want to put this LT1 in there.
i need to know first of all is it worth doing power wise. what do i need? do i have to change the hei distributer cam gear or can i use the hei distributer at all? what about this reverse flow cooling? fuel pump. any help is great thanks

Without the injection the LT1 is just another smallblock. The intake, opti and sequential injection are what make it shine.

If you want to go carbed use a gen 1 motor.

I say this as the undisputed biggest LT1 fan on this site.

take out motor, trans, computer, and complete harness. thats the only way to do it right. otherwise just leave it alone. besides, you would need to change EVERYTHING to use a carb and distributor. lots of work and extra $$$ for LESS motor.
