OK, here's everything that I installed in combination with my nitrous kit: (initially set to 100 HP shot)

1) 2 steps colder plugs
2) retard system to retard timing by 4 degrees when nitrous button is pushed
3) Low fuel pressure switch (to shut off system if fuel pressure drops below 4 psi)
4) WOT switch (only allows nitrous to come on at wide open throttle)
5) MSD Window switch (only allows nitrous to come on between 3000 and 6800 RPM (as the rev limiter is currently set to 7000 RPM and it can damage the engine if the rev limiter is hit with the nitrous on)
6) purge kit! Actually just tested it and did some test purges in my garage Very Happy (got the bottle filled today)
7) bottle heater (to get/keep the bottle at the ideal pressure)
8 ) blow down valve and tube (to be legal at the track)

So, is there anything else that I need or that I need to consider when running the spray??

Any input is appreciated!!

How about a fasten seat belt sign that lights up when you arm the giggle gas (like off an airliner). Rolling Eyes

Looks like you have it more than covered for a 100 shot. Clay

I got all the equipment as I'll be running a 250 shot on my next build... I'll also have to get a progressive controller with the next build..

Have you brought up the rpm and blipped the solenioids yet to see how it responds? Clay

Haven't done that yet... I have the WOT switch on the system and it won't activate except at WOT.. Can't really go to WOT in park...

I read that the nitrous should never been activated at all at part throttle... so I'll try it the first time at the track..

Maybe I should also add the Southwest "Bling" when the seat belt sign comes on Laughing

Good suggestion Clay.

You won't hurt anything with just a quick click. As long as you are off of idle you can do it, that's how you test things before hand. Naturally it will take two people. Do it just like you would if you were at the track, purge first, then bring the rpm up to about 2500 and give the WOT switch a touch with your finger. It will probably take two or three clicks before you get a crisp whap. I guarantee it will put a huge smile on your face too. Roll the video camera during the test.

I didn't explain what I meant well enough but pro60chevy pulled me out of the bog. As long as the rpm's are 2500 - 3000, you won't hurt anything with a blip. If you purge it first, it should be there the first blip, if you don't purge, then it might act like pro60chevy said, blubbery for the first hit or two, then clear up. Clay

That's my way of saying You Have Arrived;( please place all trays and seats in the upright position and push and shove for your onboard baggage). Laughing
