Now he tells me it was a COPO 427 car and he had some documentation but lost it, so he is just calling it a 396 car. I am going tomorrow morning and bringing cash! LOL

He did tell me he has the original # matching m22 trans that came with the car. I realize this doesnt prove anything, but they were rare to say the least. I doubt it was a 427 car...... we shall see tomorrow.

Matching# 4 speed?????? Shocked It better have the big output shaft ( t400 ) I have never seen a trans match the nomenclutcher Plate!!! I know I botched the name. Embarassed

Af2 not sure what you are getting at, but the transmissions had a date, a large part#, and a partial hand stamped vin matching the cars vin# and m22s were uncommon in any car especially 68 camaros.
