I ran at the track last night hoping to improve a bit with the additional ported throttle body and transmission cooler.
The weather wasn't very good, track was crowded, and I managed to get two runs in.

The car started having issues on the way home. SES light started flashing and the converter wouldn't lock up in OD while the SES light flashed.
I checked the codes this morning and they were misfire codes. I'm hoping the misfire codes told the transmission not to lock up. But I have a feeling the transmission is on it's way out I need to investigate the problem further to figure it out.
Comparing the numbers to my previous best it appears the car slowed down. After going over the datalogs it appears the engine was knocking a little so the timing was pulled back a few degrees and might be the reason the car slowed down a bit.

Too bad you only got in a couple of passes.
Did you see 86GN up there? |

I'm not much on 'puters but if the car slowed couldn't it perhaps be because of going into limp mode due to the code throwing? _________________ "It may be ugly, but it's SLOW" |

I was up there. Got to shoot the shit with Smoke for a while. Made one NA run with the nitrous enabled but no bottle in the car. 11.90 @ 110. Computer was adding fuel thinking the nitrous was engaged. Dumb ass me. Second pass had the bottle in the car. 10.99@127. Car was very lean. At least one of the fuel pumps isn't working. I've got 2 in the tank. Also noticed oil pressure dropping to zero while slowing down. Need to rework the oil pan baffles. Pressure came back before the turn off. Doesn't seem to be down. Who says this nitrous stuff is easy?
There was a guy in the lanes with a weatherstation. DA was +1600 to +1800. |

Still nice numbers Smoke. Ya gotta love the LS!'s Think of the bright side, you might as well toss in a converter when you do the tranny, she'll be a solid 12 second driver. _________________ 11 seconds, full street trim, real street strip car.

Those times are with a converter, 3000 rpm stall. The best time to date (with great weather) was a 12.644. The internal engine is completely stock down to the stock cam, and stock exhaust with manifolds and cats. It still has the stock plugs and wires (might be the misfires I have).
The plan is:
set of ported LS6 heads (Should be getting them in the next couple of days)
Thinner head gasket, compression should work out to about 11.2:1
cam upgrade, still mild 221/221 @ 0.05"
UD pulley
Keeping the stock exhaust for now (money is very tight).
I'm hoping for 11's if the trans holds together |

Great job Smoke. If you find yourself in the Epping area on July 8th, stop by, we will be there running with the big boys. I rented the track for this Wednesday, so hopefully I'll have something good to report afterwards. Yes Jeep, you can stop by also. Maybe I'll even get to meet 86GN. |

I don't know your usage of the car but from what I've read, the under drive pulleys are not the hot ticket on a street driven car. _________________ "It may be ugly, but it's SLOW" |
